The fir tree 2010

Whilst in Berlin I noticed a large amount of discarded christmas trees lying in the street. I decided to make a topography of the trees I passed using a disposable camera. The series took approximately 24 hrs and documents all the trees I passed over the course of an afternoon, night and morning. I have since found a short story written by Hans Christina Andersen 'The fir tree' which tells the life story of a fir tree from forest to living room to street.
